Members table

[edit]

It had just occurred to me that it would be nice to have a table of the members with their accession dates, as seen on the WMO site, it could be a sortable table. Just I don't have the time for such work now, and I don't really know when I would get round to it. -- = ? 12:34, 16 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I've started the table here, anyone is welcome to it, if you want to speed things up. -- = ? 20:15, 16 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
And the table is done, I've taken the liberty of adding it to the article. -- = ? 09:47, 3 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Nominated the article to DYK because of the list: Template:Did you know nominations/World Meteorological Organization. -- = ? 08:08, 4 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

List of WMO's country codes?

[edit]

The list of country codes from the external links section of this article is old (dated 1999) and includes only a small subset of WMO's country codes. Finding a complete, official list of WMO's country codes is not easy. If one exists on their own website, they have done a good job of hiding it. Although I know Wikipedia prefers to avoid articles that are lists or tables of data, I think providing an article listing WMO's country codes would be a great service Wikipedia could provide. I've come to this subject after learning that some weather applications use country codes which do not correspond with those from ISO, which is extremely confusing. If anybody can provide a list of WMO codes, that would be excellent, but if it also included a comparison with ISO codes, that would be even better. --Lance E Sloan (talk) 19:46, 7 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
