[edit]

This article needs a rewrite, and a lot less crap that seems to be contributed by some super-nerd whose overclocked computer just passed Prime95. But seriously, it should have less stuff about how much better Prime95 is than all other things. 74.134.225.63 06:30, 28 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Considerable disagreement about stability testing

[edit]

Anyone who has read through many sites and forums knows that there is a great deal of conflicting opinions, ranging from "all overclocking is a waste of time, effort, and power" to "not overclocking is wasting money". The same extreme range of opinion goes for stability testing. One will claim OCCT is the best. Another LinX. Another Prime. Some say Prime isn't very useful for true testing. Some say MemTest doesn't work. It's truly endless. This article presents the opinion from just one source as definitive, when in fact the "rule of thumb" is likely quite arbitrary -- never having been scientifically validated. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.133.15.175 (talk) 21:09, 20 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Prime95.jpg

[edit]

Image:Prime95.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 04:43, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

EDIT: The file Prime95.jpg does not exist. However, the quad-core image is fair use as it is being used to demonstrate the features of the software. — Preceding unsigned comment added by WGJCPRIMES (talkcontribs) 20:43, 29 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

error in processing power table?

[edit]

Some of the values in the processing table seem suspicious - in particular the two i5 values are very different and the two i7 values are very different. Bubba73 You talkin' to me? 04:26, 3 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
