Great minds think alike?
[edit]Hello - only last week did I think "I know, I'll create an infobox for magazines", but didn't have time to do it immediately. I see you have, though - looks pretty good, too. In my scribblings before I got otherwise busy, I had a few other pieces of info in my theoretical box to yours. These were: Publisher (which I guess is your Owners, but I think Publisher is probably a better name), First issue (date), Last issue (date, #), Country. Would it be OK for me to add/change these? What do you think? Stephenb 16:39, 2 August 2005 (UTC) (Talk)
- I agree, publisher is better suited the other changes sound good too, how about adding the cover price too?
- Thanks! It's an idea, but cover price isn't particularly notable, and could look like advertising (and changes too frequently for an encyclopedia to recognise) - probably best left to the web site of the magazine in question. I've half-changed my mind on publisher, as strictly speaking that is a person, so I've currently got Company on my prototype (see my user page) - your thoughts welcome! NB: I've also dropped "Location" as this relates to the company rather than the magazine, really, so simply "Country" is more relevant. I'll give it a day or two while I think about it, then I'll change the infobox and start spreading it more widely. So, if you've any strong opinions, let me know before I start making changes! - Looks good Stephen, thanks for updating the pages I'd already added the info box to. No idea how you managed that.--Adam 20:23, 4 August 2005 (UTC)
- Thanks - when editing the infobox, I used the "What links here" link in the toolbox (on the left) - all the magazines you'd already added it to were listed. There's a couple more now, but I ran out of time last night (and I'm away this weekend). I'll be doing some more as soon as I can though! Cheers, Stephenb 10:03, 5 August 2005 (UTC)
Vote on moving Lost (2004 television series) to Lost (TV series)
[edit]Hi. Just a quick note that we're voting (again) on renaming/moving the Lost (2004 television series) article, this time to the shorter Lost (TV series). As you were a participant in the previous discussion/vote, please register your support or opposition here: Talk:Lost (2004 television series) Thanks! LeFlyman 05:32, 26 September 2005 (UTC)
- Hey, Adam. There's yet another Lost-related move discussion underway at Talk:Lost. This one is about whether Lost should be a disambiguation page (as it is currently) or a redirect to Lost (TV series), with the disambiguation content moved to Lost (disambiguation). Since you'd voted in earlier Lost-related move discussions, I thought you might be interested in this one. —Josiah Rowe (talk • contribs) 18:57, 1 February 2006 (UTC)
Speedy deletion of Passport (magazine)
[edit]A tag has been placed on Passport (magazine), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read our the guidelines on spam as well as the Wikipedia:Business' FAQ for more information.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Fair use rationale for Image:Attitude-magazine-uk.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Attitude-magazine-uk.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Ricky81682 (talk) 00:51, 24 March 2008 (UTC)
