Environmental Activism?

[edit]

Are we doing original research here again? Five unsourced statements of fact in a single paragraph? Time to clean that up or delete that paragraph. Why is every relative's name preceded by a job title? Does Chelsea Clinton need "Investment Banker" before her name? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.236.191.152 (talk) 12:03, 7 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism!

[edit]

I took this out, because I suspect very strongly that it is a crock, unless somebody can come up with some corroborative evidence:

She once saved thirty orphans from a burning building and is an accomplished bullfighter and alligator wrestler.

Skydiving?

[edit]

I'm pretty sure the comment about skydiving doesn't belong under "Environmental Activism". It's likely bogus altogether, but I'm not certain. 71.126.141.174 00:34, 28 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I thought so too but saw: http://www.rottentomatoes.com/click/source-/reviews.php?letter=&cats=&sortby=year&page=1&rid=215338 Gzuckier 17:40, 28 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Article

[edit]

This is a good interview to use to update/source some of the info, if any one is interested.[1] Mad Jack 06:34, 14 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Addendum

[edit]

It's also rumored that Danner invented world peace and stopped time with her thought waves. (Or maybe that was Barack Obama.)

Someone was pulling your leg, but at least they were clever about it. I'm not sure how Blythe's solar panels and her electric car fit into an article, but then, the comments about Iraq don't belong here, either.

But then, this IS Wikipedia. It's not meant to be objective.

As someone who knows Ms. Danner, I can assure you that she is not going skydiving, no longer has an electric car, though she did have one (toyota) for many years and now drives a Prius hybid. She has sold the home that had a solar panel on the roof that she lived in with Bruce, and now maintains a condo in NYC and in Santa Monica.

Birth year

[edit]

Someone keeps changing Blythe Danner's birth year to 1923. I believe this is a simple case of vandalism. But if you truly believe it's 1923, provide your sources. I've seen her in recent roles, and she is absolutely not 85 years old. The following sources are among the many I found, all of which confirm that she was born in 1943:

Photograph

[edit]

I noticed the photograph ref at the top of this article doesn't work properly (at least in my browser) and points to a WHYY (Philadelphia public radio/TV station) site:

http://www.whyy.org/about/pressroom/1.jpg (Blythe Danner)

I'll try to fix the link but I have some concerns: I couldn't find a pointer to the picture used on the WHYY site, so I wonder if it will reliably remain there. I wonder about the copyright implications of using it, too.

Don't get me wrong--it's a great picture but should it be used here? Uncle Bubba (talk) 19:22, 30 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
