Hi, Welcome. I notice that you're making a number of major changes to the India article. Before anyone makes such sweeping changes, it is customary to discuss in the talk page (in the current case Talk:India). You can make the changes after consensus is reached there. You may also want to read the tutorial. -- Sundar (talk · contribs) 06:14, Apr 21, 2005 (UTC)

re: China in Telugu

[edit]

Hi, sorry for the delayed reply. Are you still looking for this information? I'm glad you are looking out for telugu language, just curious, how does this information (China in Telugu) intrest you? Best wishes ksri99 (talk · contribs) 19:13, 25 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

re: India map

[edit]

Welcome once again, my Chinese friend. You need not be apologetic about your conversation level of English. Many of us are non-native speakers of English and hence are not really good in it. There are others who can correct the mistakes we make. I agree with you that wikipedia should reflect neutral point of view. If you've valid objections to the India maps, you can post it at Talk:India. You can also read the discussions that have already taken place there on that topic. Cheers. -- Sundar (talk · contribs) 06:57, Apr 21, 2005 (UTC)

Maps

[edit]

Sundar asked me to talk to you while he is away. I am aware of the India-China dispute and have discussed the matter with User:Ran earlier this year. Ran creates Chinese maps. I do make some Indian maps sometimes. If you need any help, you may message me. Please note, if you modify any image which is already present on wikipedia under GFDL then you have to credit the original uploader and link to the original image besides uploading the image under GFDL. You can link to an image by using the syntax [[:image:zzz.png]]  =Nichalp (talk · contribs)= 16:59, Apr 21, 2005 (UTC)

Don't worry about your English, we can understand what you type. See this map I have created image:IndiaArunachalPradesh.png, image:IndiaJammuKashmir.png. Yes, Wikipedia has to be an NPOV, I agree with you.  =Nichalp (talk · contribs)= 06:29, Apr 22, 2005 (UTC)
See this gallery of Indian state maps: http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:Indian_states_and_union_territories. Aksai Chin is administered by PRC so is not shaded with Indian colours. Arunachal Pradesh is administered by India so is shown in a color similar to India's administered regions, (a light pink). So as not to make it seem that there are two Arunachal Pradesh I have not shaded it in a contrasting colour.  =Nichalp (talk · contribs)= 07:21, Apr 22, 2005 (UTC)

Hi, I'm back. Nice to see that you've understood Nichalp's NPOV. He'll be away for a few days. If you want any help (apart from maps) you can ask me at my talk page. By the way, since you say that your Chinese is good, I would suggest that you translate some articles from here to the Chinese Wikipedia and vice versa. That way it'll add variety to both the wikis. -- Sundar (talk · contribs) 04:04, Apr 26, 2005 (UTC)

re: Hi

[edit]

Hi, I'm currently living in Bangalore, India and working for Yahoo!. I can't read Chinese but will one day learn to do. I can read Hangul and am fond of learning new languages. What do you study in your university course?

By the way, just curious. Is "Icywind" a translation of your Chinese name? :-) -- Sundar (talk · contribs) 03:53, Apr 27, 2005 (UTC)

Good to know that you specialise in Sino-Indian relations. You may also want to see Foreign relations of China. Even if you are not comfortable with editing articles initially, you can correct typing errors, statistics and factual ersors. If you have some issue to raise be bold and raise it in the talk page of the article. You can also request for any help on my talk page. Btw, it was interesting to read about your nom de plume. :-) -- Sundar (talk · contribs) 06:10, Apr 27, 2005 (UTC)

all the best

[edit]

I saw exchange of messages between you, User:Sundar and User:Nichalp. I would also repeat - please do not worry about your English. For most of Indians also, English is not a mother tongue. And, it is nice to learn that you are in Wuhan University, one of the most beautiful universities in the world. In case, you find time, please translate some India related articles into Chinese, to begin with you may just make a short Chinese versions of few important articles. It is sad that I do not know Chinese, but China has always fascinated me - its culture, its history, and the excellent people.--Bhadani 04:12, 27 Apr 2005 (UTC)

    • Thanks for your reply. Sure, Icywind, in case you send me your writings (via email) in English, I will surely rewrite them. You can also create an article about any topic in wikipedia and write me a message as you did now. I will take care of the English part by revising, if you wish so. About teaching English, you do not worry - you will learn very very good English, actually you know English - only you have to practice regularly. In case, you want me to teach you English ok - I will try to do that also, please donot worry. Ok, all the best!--Bhadani 15:55, 27 Apr 2005 (UTC)

I wish you and your family a Merry Christmas and a happy New Year. And, where are you? --Bhadani 14:49, 25 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

hi Kitty, I remember you very well - I wish you all the best in life. And, thanks for the greetings on the coming festival of Holi. I am amazed at your knowledge of things Indian. Please remain in touch. You may send me wiki-mail, if you so wish. Thanks. --Bhadani 14:36, 24 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I know Hindi, which is my mother tongue. I can also read and understand Sanskrit though I cannot speak Sanskrit Both the languages have the same script: Devanagari. I would surely assist you in learning this script if you so desire. By the way, from my childhood I have remained fascinated with your motherland, China. Chinese and Indians have so many things in common.

Please merge your accounts in all Wikipedias

[edit]

Hi,

I have noticed that you are using accounts Lkkity in different Wikipedias but you have not merged them into a global account yet. Global accounts become mandatory since 15 April 2015, and all non-merged accounts will be renamed.

As of now, most likely you have accounts Lkkity in other projects, notably in Ukrainian Wikipedia, which are not merged with your global account. Please click on Special:MergeAccount and finish the unification process. You can check the state of your account unification at Special:CentralAuth/Lkkity

If you don't merge your accounts by 15 April, your accounts (in Wikipedias other than English) can be renamed.

If you have questions you can ask them on my talk page. Best regards — NickK (talk) 17:53, 20 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
