UK general election pages are looking a bit disorganised. A few bits are good (eg. Constituency Update but there doesn't seem to any overall project to link together all the other updates that need doing, or at least one that I can fine. Not sure how such a project should be set up (or whether I have the time). So here are some of my bits.
Election Bookmarks
[edit]- Constituency updates - record of the updates for each constituency - Talk section has some discussion of after the election updates
- General page about UK elections - NO updates for after the election
- UK 2005 election page - some details of updates post election
Things to do after the election
[edit]- Results
List of MPs elected- Update the bios of the each MP (including those who became MPs and those who ceased to be MPs)
- Update the MPs for each region. For example Reading, Berkshire will have the two MPs listed.
- Update the constituency links in MPs elected in the UK general election, 2005
- Check the change in scottish consituencies is reflected correctly
- Update the constituency links in MPs elected in the UK general election, 2001. Also need to update the top bit about result in WikiSource. Now also in Wiki.
- Make sure byelection results are on the constituency pages. Since 2001 they are:
IpswitchOgmoreBrent EastLeicester SouthBirmingham Hodge Hill- Hartlepool
- See: [1]
- Could have an election timetable. See [2]
- Check that local election results have been updated if necessary. This is only likely to need changes to the governing party in the region pages; might not even need that. Can't believe the results are stored in Wikipedia anywhere.
Minor Stuff
- On the result project page Thurrock may be in the wrong region
- Sevenoaks categories fix.
- Paul Beresford Croydon link point to Constituency rather than Croydon
