Trivia

[edit]

In the movie Matrix: Reloaded, during the highway scene, notice one of the road signs says

Willow Ave

Rodeo

EXIT 1/2 MILE

This is almost the same sign as when you are approaching the town of Rodeo, CA on eastbound Interstate 80 after the Junction 4 Hercules Stockton interchange.

Census Data (removed from article)

[edit]

I removed the following data as it seemed quite typical of North American census data. There does not seem to be anything remarkable about it to me. Someone else, however, may find the level of detail of some of this data significant. If they restore it, I hope that they would explain why.

The racial makeup of the CDP was 52.20% White, 16.04% Black or African American, 1.30% Native American, 16.04% Asian, 0.50% Pacific Islander, 7.17% from other races, and 6.76% from two or more races. 17.08% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race. There were 2,882 households out of which 38.4% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 52.9% were married couples living together, 17.8% had a female householder with no husband present, and 23.5% were non-families. 18.9% of all households were made up of individuals and 6.4% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 3.00 and the average family size was 3.42. In the CDP the population was spread out with 29.3% under the age of 18, 8.8% from 18 to 24, 27.7% from 25 to 44, 23.9% from 45 to 64, and 10.2% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 35 years. For every 100 females there were 94.1 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 89.0 males. The median income for a household in the CDP was $60,522, and the median income for a family was $63,151. Males had a median income of $46,077 versus $32,452 for females.

pronunciation

[edit]

The pronunciation seems dubious. Can anyone confirm? kwami (talk) 09:51, 24 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I can't see the characters, but if it's saying it's pronounced ro-DAY-oh, then it's correct. Born, raised, and still live there. Apstockholm (talk) 05:50, 18 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It had been ro-day-OH, then s.o. changed it to ro-DAY-oo. I'll change it to your pron. kwami (talk) 22:49, 2 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
