This is Wikipedia's New York Rangers page, open for anyone to edit and contribute to. This page does not belong to "Sabbatino." Please adequately explain the following: 1) Why the Rangers' official website should merely be referred to as "Official Website" in the "External Links" section instead of "Official New York Rangers Website," which IS the official title of the site when you go to the site. 2) Why the NHL's official website should not be included in the "External Links" section considering the Rangers are a team that plays and participates in the National Hockey League. 3) Why statistics such as "Game-winning Goals" and "Shots on Goal" should not be included in the "Franchise Scoring Leaders" table while statistics such as "Plus/Minus" and "Penalty Minutes" should be. 208.163.242.148 (talk) 00:43, 2 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

1) Saying "Official New York Rangers Website" is redundant, as the only official website would be theirs 2) the NHL page gets linked on the NHL article, not on every team 3) those stats are not necessarily pieces of the story of the top 10 points leaders, which is what that chart is for. (I mean, neither is PIM, but that's a standard stat that usually gets used.) You may want to look at pretty much every other NHL team's article to see that "Official Website" is sufficient, NHL website not used on teams, and the stats you want to add usually don't go here. Sabbatino is only returning the article to a proper state, and not taking ownership of it. Echoedmyron (talk) 00:54, 2 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Just about everything you said here is subjective. Those stats are every bit as much standard stats and pieces of the story of the top 10 points leaders as Plus/Minus and Penalty Minutes are. The NHL's web page gets linked on the NHL article, and Madison Square Garden's web page and MSG Network's web page get linked on their respective articles. Yet those web pages get linked on the Rangers article as well and the NHL's web page does not? There is no rule saying that every NHL team's Wikipedia article has to be formatted or presented the same way. They are separate, individual articles. That said, if you were to look at every other NHL team's article you would see that only 5 of them include Plus/Minus and Penalty Minutes in their franchise scoring leader box. The other 25 team articles do not. It would be more accurate to say that Sabbatino returned the article to its previous state, as to refer to it as a "proper" state would be subjective. 208.163.242.148 (talk) 04:00, 2 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
There is no rule that every page must be formatted the same way, but it is desirable that this be so. If you wish to have this article break formatting, you will need to gain consensus here to do so. If you wish to propose a change to the formatting for all 31 team articles, feel free to suggest it at WT:HOCKEY. Resolute 15:05, 2 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Why is nbcsn on the media section

[edit]

NBCSN is part of the nhl on nbc package for national telecasts. So why is nbcsn on the media section?? Metric Supporter 89 (talk) 22:37, 31 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

It is still an individual channel despite being packaged, and the Rangers are featured in the station frequently. Nick.b23 (talk) 14:03, 18 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Updated Uniforms Section

[edit]

After teasing the designs in the week prior, Adidas released their collection of throwback jerseys outfitted for all 31 teams on November 16, 2020. The collection is coined "Reverse Retro," in which the New York Rangers received a navy jersey featuring the head of the Statue of Liberty. It is resemblant to the ones they wore from 1996 to 2007. The jerseys are to be worn at a later determined date when the season resumes in 2021. The addition of this jersey should be added to the Uniforms section.
