I noticed the red link for the deleted page of the UK Physical Singles Chart, of which Blind Spot hit #1. I started to remove the red link and column from Discography because the page was deleted in 2008 due to the chart's lack of public accessibility for both viewing and referencing. Yet, Blind Spot was released in 2016, and the citation for "Out of Control" that placed the EP at #1 on that charts links to a live page. It appears this chart is accessible now, and therefore the page could (or should?) be recreated, thus the red link--can anyone confirm?

I'm addressing my question here because the deletion review history page for the UK Physical Singles Chart is closed for comments. I'm still new to editing, so thanks for helping me learn! CharlesTStokes (talk) 05:57, 1 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Untitled

I saw Lush at a gig in Norwich in 1992. It was the worst live concert I have ever attended! Graham 00:21, 1 Jul 2004 (UTC)

That may have been just after Emma's father died. Their Australian tour of 1992 sucked as well, apparently for that reason - David Gerard 13:25, 1 Jul 2004 (UTC)

I recently put some pictures of Lush in the german Wikipedia. Anyone interested in copying them over here? --Xeper 15:11, 12 Aug 2004 (UTC)

Your pics? Excellent! Go for it :-) - David Gerard 18:40, 12 Aug 2004 (UTC)
Yep! Hamburg/Germany 1994 ... lots of trouble with venue security - but well worth it ;) --Xeper 19:33, 12 Aug 2004 (UTC)

Lush's cover of "Chirpy Chirpy Cheep Cheep" on Alvin Lives (in Leeds), and their flexidisc rendition of the Rupert the Bear theme might be mentioned in a section recounting their fondness for unusual cover tunes. Asat 22:15, 26 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Was Miki Berenyi pregnant, maybe by Chris Acland, and questioning whether she could complete a tour? If not, what is meant by the "Outside World" lyrics, "Can't you understand my body's changing fast / It's not up to me how long I'm going to last"? If so, what happened to the pregnancy? When was this song written? Of all the Lush lyrics, some of which seem personal, this one strikes me as the most noteworthy, given the only logical implication I can take from it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by N'Awlins Contrarian (talkcontribs) 07:00, 21 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Black Spring

[edit]

"Nothing Natural was also titled "Black Spring" in the UK."

Hm, I always thought that this release was officially titled "Black Spring E.P." and "Nothing Natural" was only the lead track with the video... --Xeper (talk) 17:07, 23 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Changed, since the 4AD dicography agrees with me :) http://www.4ad.com/lush/releases/black-spring-2/ --Xeper (talk) 09:30, 24 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Reformation (2015–present) reads like a list of press releases

[edit]

@Greg Fasolino and Dachy:

The Reformation (2015–present) section reads like a list of press releases. I suggest summarizing most of the content and abbreviating if not totally removing the quotes. Jonpatterns (talk) 10:27, 22 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I already did this once and someone keeps re-inserting the entire huge quote. Will edit again Greg Fasolino (talk) 21:01, 22 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Michael Conroy

[edit]

Does he count as a band member or just as a hired hand ? There seems to be an edit war developing over the matter. RGCorris (talk) 13:57, 5 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I won't classify him as a member of the band. He stood in for one gig which the band knew was the last. I think its okay for Modern English to be classed as an associated act though.Jonpatterns (talk) 14:34, 5 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
No, just a stand in. And listing Modern English as an associated act simply because of that is not justified. --Michig (talk) 18:34, 5 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Move detailed discog and appearances to separate page

[edit]

The discog and appearance section are too long for the article, I suggest summarizing in this article and having details on a separate page? Jonpatterns (talk) 20:21, 29 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Which members should be mentioned in the lede

[edit]

Rippon was with the band 1987 - 1991, at least half the time King was with the band 1991 - 1996. It seems to me he should be mentioned in the lede. Jonpatterns (talk) 17:05, 6 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
