Researchers

[edit]

As best as I can tell, the researchers section is totally useless/not at all in encyclopedic tone. Does anyone object to deletion? JeanLackE (talk) 15:58, 10 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Team-B-Vital Improvement Drive

[edit]

Hello all!

This article has been chosen as this week's effort for WP:Discord's #team-b-vital channel, a collaborate effort to bring Stub and Start class Vital articles up to a B class if possible, similar to WP:Articles for Improvement. This effort will run for up to seven days, ending early if the article is felt to be at B-class or impossible to further improve. Articles are chosen by a quick vote among interested chatters, with the goal of working together on interesting Vital articles that need improving.

Thank you! -- ferret (talk) 00:03, 26 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Lead image

[edit]

Hi @CactiStaccingCrane, while I agree there should just be one image in the lead, I'm not convinced File:RhB ABe 8-12 3510 Bärentritt.jpg is the most representative option, especially because it's a relatively narrow waterfall, and the train cuts right across the middle of the image. It's a good photo, but is it the best for illustrating this article? Eddie891 Talk Work 13:20, 6 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Good point. @Eddie891, what about these pictures?
CactiStaccingCrane (talk) 14:13, 6 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Again, it's a good image, but not necessarily the most illustrative. What was the problem with File:Salto del Angel-Canaima-Venezuela08.JPG (in the article previously)? File:Salto del Angel-Canaima-Venezuela19.JPG is probably a better image of the same waterfall There's arguably no better waterfall than Angel Falls to put in the lead. I like File:Cascada Dynjandi, Vestfirðir, Islandia, 2014-08-14, DD 136-138 HDR.JPG alternatively, personally. Eddie891 Talk Work 14:38, 6 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
