Redundancy

[edit]

The section titled Recent controversy should really be included in the New Zealand Police article and not the article on 1-1-1 as the issues relate to the performance of the NZ Police's Communications Centres that answers calls directed to Police that were placed via the 111 service. The issue is wider than the 111 service to Police and other emergency services that provide services using the 111 system are not affected by this controversy. -- Cameron Dewe 02:36, 6 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Agreed. Go ahead and move them, and add a communications stub to this article. Falcon 03:07, 6 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Moved and summary of relevant recommendation added. -- Cameron Dewe 09:08, 6 Jun 2005 (UTC)

112 ?

[edit]

Does the GSM 112 number work? SimonLyall 8 July 2005 00:17 (UTC)

That is a universal GSM standard. Falcon 20:03, July 10, 2005 (UTC)

111 UK ?

[edit]

Should information about the piloted 111 service in the UK [1] be added to this page? Chris4uk (talk) 23:53, 22 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

There's already another article about this at NHS 111 (England). Mhiji (talk) 00:14, 23 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hoax calls

[edit]

What is described as the first hoax call may not have been a hoax at all - more like a misunderstanding of the purpose of the number. What was the first hoax- in the sense of a fake call for assistance? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.197.15.138 (talk) 06:27, 19 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
