List of rivers of Canada

[edit]

There's a problem here. List of rivers in Ontario claims to include ONLY rivers situated in Ontario. That means that it won't include, say, the Ottawa or St. Lawrence rivers, without which no list of Canadian rivers is complete. - Montréalais 02:06, 19 Sep 2003 (UTC)

We should include any rivers that flow through the territory even though that means duplicating many rivers, St. Lawrence in Ontario list and Quebec list (It is already on the USA list), Saskatchewan River in Alberta and Saskatchewan. I am still waiting for someone to take up the challenge and add the rivers of PEI. I found to towns with river in their names but no map detailed enough to show any waterway names. I found a terrific map on the Atlas of Canada website with the drainage basins. I'll propose that the listing be moved from province based to drainage-based, using the map as a starting point. I'll fix up the page to acommodate this and, hopefully, people will buy into it and migrate away from the provincial listing, unless there is a great need for an alphabetical lsiting of some sort. Comments appreciated. --Paddlebot 01:01, 10 Mar 2005 (UTC)
