Hugh Capet was crowned on July 3, 987 (NOT 983!) in the cathedral of Noyon. His relationship to the Carolingian dynasty is so loose that it hardly deserves being mentioned. What should be mention, instead, is that he was count of Paris and duke of France.

"Modern French history", according to the tradition, begins begins either with the death of Louis XI (1483) or with the accession of Francis I (1515).

Indeed, there are some "arguable" points here!

Hugh Capet will have to wait another four years.
