Good to talk about Grade 1 and 2 beaches... so why not put a whole section in there which is a guide to grades. What grades are there and what are the criterea for rating them? (Fuzheado 03:49 16 Jul 2003 (UTC))

Also, a lot of the beaches have a pollution rating system for determining whether it is safe to swim. I've seen these on beaches on Lantau Island and on Stanley Main Beach (which should also have an entry, for the dragon boat race - as should Tai Pak Beach in Discovery Bay, which is man-made). Can't remember what the pollution-rating system is, though - next time I got to Stanley I'll have a look. - David Stewart 04:40 16 Jul 2003 (UTC)

According to the latest Grading of beach water quality released on Friday, July 11 2003, the water qualities of both Clear Water Bay First Beach and Clear Water Bay Second Beach are fair, ie, both of them are Grade 2 beaches. - User:H0227673 1:51am 17 Jul 2003

According to the most update grading by Environment Protection Department, the water qualities of Clear Water Bay First Beach is Grade 1, while that in the 2nd Beach is Grade 2. that the most updated on 14/7/2003. Just go to the following web site and check~ http://www.epd.gov.hk/epd/english/environmentinhk/water/beach_quality/bwq_current_sk.html

I have done some changes in the page, e.g. changing 'you' to 'people' or 'they' as using 'Third Person' is better than using 'Second Person'. Also changing some words in order to make the page more consistent. - H0227673 3:15am 17 Jul 2003

Is the image for Hung Shing Ye Beach actually Hung Shing Yeh? It looks the wharf at Yung Shue Wan. It has been a while since I have been to Lamma island, so I could be wrong. Popsracer 07:36 17 Jul 2003 (UTC)

An image of this page and some images of one of the beaches and of two of the contributors to this article are in the Wikipedia:Press coverage:

Should the details about each beach be put into their own page and the list of beaches wikified, to shorten the page? - Plop 18:44, Apr 10, 2004 (UTC)
