The WikiProject U.S. Counties standards might help.

Pronunciation

[edit]

Something should be added to the article about how to pronounce Macomb. Many people not from the area mistakenly pronounce it "MAY-comb" when it's actually more like "muh-COMB". I don't know how to properly write the pronunciation according to wikipedia standards, but if someone who does could add the correct pronunciation in there someplace, that'd be great! Presidential election results

[edit]

I think someone should get the Presidential election results for Macomb Country dating back to 1960. It would be interesting because it give insight into how Macomb is commonly dubbed the "birthplace of the Reagan Democrat."Tallicfan20 (talk) 21:04, 31 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Since Carey Torrice has an article, would she get listed here? --Habap (talk) 23:20, 20 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Disco

[edit]

Is it worthwhile to include Disco as a place in Macomb County? It is located at 24 Mile Road and Van Dyke and can still be found on some maps. As a child approximately 20 years ago, I would get frozen custard in Disco. Here is an article on Disco History:

New nickname for Macomb County

[edit]

Since it is located in the southernmost portion of the "Thumb", it would be known as the "Joint". — Preceding unsigned comment added by 112.205.237.47 (talk) 03:38, 2 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Cue, but you need a WP:RS for that. Ipse dixit won't suffice. 7&6=thirteen () 17:17, 2 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
