Board membership

[edit]

I understand that the information is correct concerning his membership of the Management board of this company. My previous entry was removed with no reason given, if my info is incorrect, I would be more than happy to know why. calexico 13:12, 24 Apr 2004 (UTC)

Mr. Ellemann-Jensen is a member of several boards. There is no reason to single out only one of the them. His C.V. is available at the Baltic Development Forum homepage. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 194.255.112.18 (talkcontribs) 20:29, 21 May 2004.

A Muslim?

[edit]

Is it true, as one Danish tabloid indicated on its front page this 1 April, that he converted to Islam or is it a Fool's Day thing? 81.236.209.91 22:35, 1 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It is an April Fool's thing. It is most likely a corruption of a rumour sometimes heard which claims that one of his daughters has married a Muslim. Until I see proof, I don't believe that story either. Valentinian (talk) 18:47, 27 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Cartoon controversy

[edit]

The information is not correct. Ellemann-Jensen was highly critical of JyllandsPostens decision to print the cartoons and stated that he believed the newspaper should not have published them. He also said that he thought Carsten Juste should step down as editor. Please correct it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.184.14.180 (talk) 15:05, 8 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Edit war 28 June 2022

[edit]

@Sam Sailor: In this edit I acknowledge that he died on 18 June and simply added a note. I didn't think this required consultation at the talk page since I didn't change the death date, I added a note. How is this unhelpful and misguided? People who read this article in the preceding 9 days and are coming back to it now may be asking themselves why the death date has been changed, so why wouldn't we want a clarification of this confusion? —Biscuit-in-Chief :-) (ˈ[d̥͡soːg̊ʰ][ˈg̊ʰɒ̹nd̥͡sɹ̠ɪb̥s]) 14:46, 28 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Please quote one single source that Ellemann-Jensen died on June 19! There are none. Most use the ambiguous "died the night before Sunday". It is, however, clear from the article in Politiken that UEJ passed away during the fireworks in Tivoli held at 23.45, and from the "salmeblad" in Holmens Kirke today the date of death was 18 June. Can we move on now, please? Sam Sailor 15:00, 28 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I realise he died on 18 June, I just want to clarify why it what previously stated he died 19 June. What is this absolutely absurd deletionism. Okay, we'll move on. —Biscuit-in-Chief :-) (ˈ[d̥͡soːg̊ʰ][ˈg̊ʰɒ̹nd̥͡sɹ̠ɪb̥s]) 17:11, 28 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
