Redirected Norman Ma Clean to Norman Maclean -"It's a terrible thing to spell our name with a capital L. Now somebody will think we are Scottish Lowlanders and not Islanders." - from A River Runs Through It --Calton 14:19, 20 Nov 2004 (UTC)

I thought I had done that already, for the same exact reason. Some schmuck must have reverted my original redirect --ExplorerCDT 14:22, 20 Nov 2004 (UTC)

Could be. I noticed a Norman MacLean entry on the Request for Articles page, and thought it was damned peculiar he didn't already have one -- until I remembered the quote from A River Runs Through It and figured what could be the problem. (Okay, I didn't remember the exact quote: I looked it up to to get it right.) --Calton 14:31, 20 Nov 2004 (UTC)

I'd like to learn more about this man. Was he a Freemason of the York Rite? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.120.149.126 (talk) 18:36, 30 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

the external link to the norman maclean home page mistakenly directs to a page for an AMS weather book from the university of chicago press. i will not attempt to change since i don't know /if maclean has/had a home page.72.92.237.181 (talk) 03:56, 7 August 2011 (UTC)pj[reply]
