Can we get some information on its background, history, first use, etc etc etc, instead of a picture, link, and a few stats? DryGrain 21:49, 21 Mar 2004 (UTC)

The following was posted to the article itself, not by me--Carwil 16:52, 19 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

2 Incidents of civilian casualties is not "combat history." If anyone has information and sources regarding actual use of this weapon, along with information such as blast radius, penetration, etc., it would be greatly appreciated.

https://www.globalsecurity.org/military/systems/munitions/gbu-27.htm "It carries 550 pounds of high explosives and can penetrate more than six feet of reinforced concrete". You won't see the real stats published anywhere. (talk) 01:37, 12 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Israel has never been sold GBU-27. They purchased GBU-24, which also uses the BLU-109 warhead. The UK has never been sold GBU-27. The linked article refers to Enhanced GBU-24. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Intrudermax (talkcontribs) 11:56, 5 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Pro-USA stuff removed

[edit]

I just removed stuff like that the attack on Amiriyah was 'unfortunate' and added that the US had falsely identified the chemical weapon factory. Rkarlsba (talk) 19:15, 23 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
