Arbetarmakt believes that a peaceful revolution is not possible (in contrast to many other organisations claiming to be Trotskyist), since it thinks that the bourgeoisie will use violence against a workers revolution to defend its class privileges. According to it, the working class needs to arm itself, smash the bourgeois state (including the police), form its own state based on workers councils and workers militias, and spread its revolution worldwide. As part of the League for the Fifth International it wants to form a new international party for world revolution.

I think this is stating the obvious. The first bit is standard Trotskyism - I've never come across a Trotskyist group that didn't think that. I've left it in but what do people think? Secretlondon 15:29, 16 May 2004 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I think this should be covered in the article on Trotskyism. Perhaps just say in this article that as part of the LFI they see themselves as orthodox Trotskyists. Warofdreams 13:58, 17 May 2004 (UTC)[reply]
